you will learn in this course
Breath Control: Learn to regulate your breathing by exhaling underwater and inhaling when your head is above water. This will help you stay relaxed and maintain a steady rhythm.
Body Position: Keep your body streamlined in the water to reduce drag. Maintain a horizontal position and engage your core to improve your efficiency while swimming.
Kick Technique: Practice proper kicking techniques to propel yourself forward. Use a flutter kick or a frog kick, depending on your swimming style, while keeping your legs straight but relaxed.
Arm Movements: Focus on the correct arm movements for different strokes, such as the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Ensure your arms are fully extended during the recovery phase and enter the water smoothly.
Practice Floating: Master the art of floating on your back and stomach to build confidence in the water. Floating is essential for resting and conserving energy during swimming.
Build Endurance: Gradually increase the distance you swim to build endurance. Start with short distances and gradually work your way up to longer swims.
Use Drills: Incorporate drills into your training to focus on specific techniques. For example, practice single-arm strokes or breathing drills to enhance your skills.
Stay Relaxed: Keep a calm mindset while swimming. Relaxed muscles move more efficiently, and staying calm helps you perform better in the water.
Learn Water Safety: Understand the importance of water safety, including recognizing currents, understanding pool rules, and knowing how to respond in emergencies.
Get Feedback: Don’t hesitate to ask for feedback from your instructors. They can provide valuable tips to help you improve your technique and build confidence.
